It is my great pleasure to announce that the Lucie Foundation and its Advisory Board have selected you as the 2018 recipient of the distinguished Humanitarian Award presented at The Lucie Awards. Congratulations on your nomination! Your exceptional contribution to photography and society will be a welcomed addition to an illustrious list that has included the Josephine Herrick Project, Lisa Kristine, Nancy McGirr, Sara Terry, Zana Briski, Sebastião Salgado, and Phil Borges.

Since 2003, the prestigious Lucie Awards celebrates the remarkable achievements of the masters in photography. The Lucie Awards is a formal gala attended by hundreds of notables in the photographic arts. A video tribute will be presented during this celebratory evening, documenting and highlighting the significant role you have played. It will remain archived for future posterity. Following the event, there will be a dinner with the other luminaries honored.

This year’s Lucie Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, October 28 at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall, in New York City. We hope you will allow the photography community to pay this well-deserved homage to you on this very special occasion. We look forward to your acceptance of this prestigious award.
