A Discrimination Free Bangladesh

Riksha puller Mohammad Faridul Islam talks about aspirations for new Bangladesh

This nation has been freed from a family. Since we became independent, we have been under the clutches of one family or another. Yesterday, we were freed from the family. Today, we are independent. You are the guardians of an independent nation. We appeal to you. Before there is equitable land distribution, you will not be able to establish voting rights.

We want your addresses. We have things to say and will submit them to you in writing. The current advisers being appointed must be free of all party affiliations. If they have affiliations across the land, once they become advisers, they will be affected by that affiliation. We appeal to you. If you give us your address, we will write to you. I am Mohammad Faridul Islam. Head of the National Riksha Pullers collective and a campaigner for the rights of ricksha pullers. We look after all ricksha pullers and stand by them during any disaster. But we are not respected. Since you have spoken against discrimination, and your movement was to get rid of discrimination, you have to free us from discrimination.
