Zoe Rahman and Arun Ghosh at UK?s most famous Jazz Club
A celebration of British Jazz to mark the 50th anniversary of Ronnie Scott?s Jazz Club features an exciting double bill of British-Bangali musicians?Zoe Rahman andArun Ghosh.
Mercury-nominated pianist?Zoe Rahman (with Gene Calderazzo on drums and Davide Mantovani on bass plus special guest Idris Rahman on clarinet) will be playing music from her recent ?Live? trio album alongside music from her Bengali-influenced ?Where Rivers Meet? cd.
Clarinetist?Arun Ghosh?s Indo-Jazz Sextet, who recently performed at Brick Lane?s Baishaki Mela, will be playing tracks from his critically-acclaimed album ?Northern Namaste?. His band features Kishon Khan on piano; Idris Rahman on saxophone; Nilesh Gulhane on tabla; Dr Das on bass; and Pat Illingworth on drums.
